Fundación Luís Monteagudo

The Foundation

Fundación L. Monteagudo was incorporated in a deed granted by Luis Monteagudo García in Santiago de Compostela (A Coruña) on 17 October 2013. On 30 April 2014 it was classified as of Cultural Interest (Official Gazette of Galicia no. 100 of 27 May), under the auspices of the Regional Ministry of Culture, Education and University Regulation. On 9 June 2014 it was declared of Galician Interest (Official Gazette of Galicia, no. 116 of 19 June), and was registered with the Registry of Foundations of Galician Interest, culture section, as of 25 June 2014, bearing no. 2014/7.

As stated in Article 5 of its articles of Association, the aims of the Foundation are as follows:

  • Conducting research and studies on Galician Prehistory, History and Philology and, especially, publishing the many documentations, including notes, cards, drawings, notebooks, diaries, cassettes, personal writings and works by its founder Luis Monteagudo, which remained unpublished at the time of his death.
  • The defence, preservation, valorisation and dissemination of Galicia’s Cultural Heritage.
